Australian citizens and permanent residents can move to Tasmania without impediment. It can be as simple as buying a plane or ferry ticket. In fact, most recent Tasmanian governments have actively campaigned for people to relocate to Tasmania.
Of course, it is probably a wise idea to have found a job in Tasmania prior to quitting your present one!
