Dial the two-digit area code, (03), followed by the eight-digit phone number. For example, to reach the Hobart number 6212 3456, dial 03-6212-3456.
Those outside Tasmania but still in the (03) area code, e.g. people in Victoria, do need to dial the (03) area code to call Tasmania.
