Write the name of the recipient on the first line; the street number and name on the second; and the suburb and postcode on the third. For instance,
The postal abbreviation for Tasmania is `TAS'. The four-digit postcode for Tasmanian addresses begins with a seven. The remaining digits are a code identifying which city, town or suburb the letter will be delivered to.Mr. J. Bloggs 123 Main Street Hobart, TAS 7000 AUSTRALIA
Note that the word "Street" is not omitted in the above example. US residents may be used to writing only "123 Main" for the street address. In Tasmania, a " 123 Main St." and a "123 Main Ave." might both exist, so it is best to specify the full street name.
